Pulao in Jiffy
Ingredients
2 cups basmati rice or any long grained rice
4 cups water
3 tbsp oil
2 maggi chicken cubes
a few cloves
cinnamon
2 or 3 small cardamoms
2 bay leaves
1 small onion sliced
one tomato sliced
chillies as required
1 tsp each of garlic and ginger paste
pinch of turmeric
Method
Wash the rice and leave to dry for about 10 minutes.
Meanwhile put some oil in a vessel and when heated add the cloves,
cinnamon
cardamom and bay leaf.
Thereafter add the sliced onions when they turns pink add the tomatoes,
the
ginger-garlic paste and chillies when everything has been fried
well add the rice and
fry for atleast 3 minutes.
Add the four cups water crumble the cubes and add along with a pinch
of turmeric
stir gently and close the lid leaving the pulao to be cooked on
a low flame.
