Corn Peas Pulao
Ingredients
2 cup basmati rice
1 cup corn kernels
1 cup green peas
10-12 cashews
2 tsp chilli powder
4 or 5 bay leaves
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 small onion
1/4 tsp turmeric
4 tbsp oil or ghee
1/2 tsp each cumin and mustard seeds
salt to taste
Method
First Soak Basmati Rice by adding 3 1/2 cup of water for 20 minutes
and prepare
Rice. And let it cool.
In a heavy saucepan heat the oil, add cumin and mustard seeds to
splutter, then
and onions, bay leaves, ginger garlic paste and fry them until they
turn into brown.
To same oil add the corn, peas, turmeric, chilli, salt and masala
powders. Cover and
cook till they turn into brown. Then add the cooked rice and mix
well and wait for 3,4
minutes. And garnish with cashews and enjoy.
Serve hot with curd.
