South Indian Kadi Recipe
Ingredients
sour curd (leave the curd overnight outside) - 2 cups
onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
ginger - small piece, finely chopped.
green chilli - 2 finely chopped
coriander - 1/4 th bunch curry leaves
oil - 2 tbsp
1/4 spoon of each - mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, jeera,
hing - little
1 red chilli
turmeric - pinch
Method
Add salt, turmeric to curd. Mix.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, jeera, urad dal, chana dal, hing
red chilli. When
mustard pops, add green chilli, ginger chopped pieces and fry little.
Now add onions and fry them for a while. See that onion raw smell
is gone and
just started to cook. Add curry leaves and coriander.
Add curd mixture to above and mix well. Leave on low heat for another
minute and
transfer the contents to a serving bowl.
Ready to serve with Hot Rice or Vangi Bath etc.
